Thousands of workers from various labor organizations trooped to Mendiola today on a protest march marking Labor Day, May 1, 2023.

Led by Kilusang Mayo Uno (KMU) together with the All Workers Unity, the marchers lay down the demands of workers from different sectors among which includes wage hike, decent working conditions, the right to union and freedom of association, end of contractualization.

The Labor Day protest march, a first under the Marcos Jr. presidency, was joined by students and other progressive groups.
