Intense showers failed to hamper the 125th Independence Day celebration today at the historic Dambanang Aguinaldo in Kawit, Cavite, June 12, 2023. The annual commemoration marks the symbolic declaration of the nation’s independence from foreign domination as well as the first raising of the Philippine flag at Aguinaldo’s residence 125 years ago.

The occasion was graced by the presence of Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin, alongside other esteemed local government officials, and groups from various sectors of the society.
