Relief Teams Rush to Support Bicol in Typhoon Kristine Aftermath

Angat Buhay volunteers raced against time to prepare relief goods for Typhoon-hit Bicol at the Museo ng Pag-asa in Quezon City on October 24, 2024. Truckloads of aid were dispatched as early as noon yesterday.

Responders from San Juan National High School, the SOGO Cares Team, LP-San Juan City, and Kilos Youth joined other participants in repacking essential items donated by various supporters.

On its first day of relief operations, Angat Buhay raised at least 4.2 million pesos in cash and received 2 million pesos worth of in-kind donations, delivering aid to 8,875 families and individuals affected by Typhoon Kristine in the Bicol Region.

Typhoon Kristine struck the Bicol Region on Tuesday morning, causing the worst flooding in years, displacing hundreds of thousands, and leaving an unknown number of casualties.
