Baguio City celebrates Spring Festival

Baguio City celebrates its annual Spring Festival Grand Colorful Parade, January 31, 2025 marking the Year of the Wooden Snake. The event features an array of cultural performances and traditions.

Participated by various sectors, spectators were treated to show of martial arts demonstrations, traditional dances, and traditional costumes. The crowd, many of them children, scramble for candies and trinkets tossed from the parade.

The Spring Festival is a long-standing tradition in Baguio, symbolizing renewal, unity, and prosperity. Organized by the Filipino-Chinese community, the event symbolizes the shared cultural practices and collaborative efforts which contributes to Baguio’s progress. (Photos: Elmer Valenzuela)
