“TAKSIL SA MASA, TAKSIL SA HUSTISYA!”
Tindig Pilipinas, Akbayan Party and other groups condemn the Supreme Court’s ruling that declared the Vice President Sara Duterte impeachment proceedings unconstitutional in a protest at the Boy Scouts Circle, Quezon City, July 26, 2025.

Full statement of Tindig Pilipinas released on July 25, 2025 via Facebook post:
On behalf of every Filipino who demands truth, justice, and accountability in the face of corruption and impunity, Tindig Pilipinas, Nagkaisa Labor Coalition, Kalipunan ng Samahang Pantao, and Simbahan at Komunidad Laban sa Katiwalian (SIKLAB) express our strongest condemnation of the recent Supreme Court ruling that declared the impeachment proceedings against Vice President Sara Duterte unconstitutional.

This decision is not merely a legal maneuver—it is a direct assault on our democratic institutions and a betrayal of the people’s cry for justice. Since the impeachment complaint was filed last February, the Senate has shamelessly stalled and refused to act.

And now, the very institution meant to uphold the Constitution and safeguard our democracy—the Supreme Court—has chosen to shield the powerful instead of standing with the people. The people are angry. They are outraged not just by this ruling, but by what it represents: a government that protects the corrupt and silences accountability.

Every day that justice is denied, trust in our institutions erodes further. Every time the truth is buried, the wounds of the nation deepen. We do not accept this.
We will not be silent. We will not stand by while our cries for justice are ignored, our Constitution twisted, and our democratic rights trampled.

This is not just about one official. This is about a system that continuously fails its people. A government that punishes the poor but protects the powerful.
A judiciary that has now chosen complicity over courage.
We call on every Filipino—workers, students, faith communities, advocates, and citizens—to rise, resist, and rally behind the cause of truth and justice.
We will not stop until those in power are held accountable.
We will not stop until the rule of law serves everyone, not just the privileged few.We will not stop until justice is done.
