More than a thousand runners participate in the “Takbo Laban sa Korapsyon” at the University of the Philippines Diliman on September 7, 2025.

Organized by thea College of Science Student Council, the event aimed “to call for accountability amidst revelations of corruption in government-contracted flood control projects.”

There were segments of protests within the academic oval where impersonators of alleged corrupt government officials such as House Speaker Martin Romualdez, Senate President Chiz Escudero, then Department of Public Works and Highways Secretary Manuel Bonoan, Sara Discaya and other contractors were highlighted.

Known political personalities and representatives of progressive organizations were present in the run “demanding accountability for corruption and failed governance.”
